Our learning October 19-23:

Items to note:

-Our next Nature Explorer's day is on Wednesday, October 21. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately to be outside for the full afternoon. 

-We are planning to have our unit test on place values on Friday, October 23.

-Please sign up for a Parent Teacher conference to celebrate your child's learning successes which will be held on November 4th,5th and 6th. 

-Picture retakes will be held on November 4.We are requesting that families place their picture orders online at mylifetouch.ca.

Our learning:

Science - we will be starting a project to wrap up our learning on Trees and Forests. Your child will be taking on the perspective of one of the characters in the book the Lorax. They will then need to represent their character's perspective (environmental, recreation or economic) along with outcomes from our unit of study. Information on the assignment can be found in your child's google classroom. 

Social - we will be working on summarizing our Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which will lead to an upcoming project where your child can use either coding or make a craft video to demonstrate their understanding. Information on the assignment can be found in your child's google classroom. 

Writing - we will be working through the editing and revision process with our Remembrance Day writing piece. 

Math - we will continue to work on our place values learning with a unit test planned for Friday, October 23.
