Our learning for the week of October 13-16:

Items to note:

-Friday is a half day.

-Parent teacher conferences will be held on November 4,5,6. Families will have the choice of a phone call conference or a google hangout conference. The booking will open on Oct.16 at noon. Using the digital booking form, please indicate whether you would prefer a virtual meeting using google hangout or a phone call meeting. This is a valuable time for us to celebrate learning successes and answer any questions or concerns you may have about your child's learning. 

Our Learning:

Science - we will be wrapping up our learning on Trees and Forests with our final outcome on the enhancements and threats humans make to forests. Afterwards we will be starting a project using the Dr.Seuss story the Lorax as a reference. 

Social - we will be continuing to explore the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

Math - we will be working through our learning on place value to billions and thousandths. 

Writing - we will be starting a new narrative writing piece for Remembrance Day. Students have selected a scene from a war that they will be basing their writing on.
