Items to note:
- Please use the Screening Questionnaire to self-screen your child daily. Keep your child home should they display any symptoms (even mild symptoms). If your child has answered “Yes” to any of the screening questions, please DO NOT send them to school at this time. They should stay home and use the AHS Online Self-Assessment Tool to determine whether they need to be tested for COVID-19. Parents must immediately inform school administration if a child tests positive for COVID-19.

-Our weekly math homework this week will be on multiplication and is due Sept.28
Learning this week:
Math - we will be starting our new chapter on solving equations with a focus on the following vocabulary: equation, expression, preservation of equality, unknown, equality, formula, solution and variable.
Writing - we will be learning how to add what we will call, "dress ups" to our writing in addition to the openers we have learned. For example, adding the word "which" in the middle of our sentence.
Social Studies - we will continue to explore our four pillars of democracy and relate this knowledge to Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Science - we will be learning about the levels of a forest along with the differences between coniferous and deciduous trees.
