Please find below information about our learning this week.
Please find attached some photos of our first writing activity. The first photo shows the notes that we took from the reading passage that guided our own writing. The next two photos show the writing we created as a class using only prepositional openers and our writing toolbox.
Items to note:
-Friday is a half day
-We have begun to use our google calendar attached to our google classroom to note homework due dates. You have been invited to join your child's account. Once you have joined your child's account you will be able to view their assignments and their online "agenda."
-Please return the emergency contact information form sent home last week
-Math test on Wednesday
Our Learning Goals:
Math - we will be finishing our chapter on Patterns and Relationships. We will review our learning and plan to have our chapter test on Wednesday.
Writing - we will continue to work on our expository writing and expand our openers to using clausal openers along with 'ing' and 'ed' openers.
Social - we have finished our scavenger hunt with our new text book and will now move on to learning about the four pillars of democracy - justice, equity, freedom and representation.
Science - we will continue with our trees and forest unit and focus on the three categories of biotic (living) things in our forests - producers, consumers and decomposers.
