Our learning:
Math - we will be learning about developing and applying principles related to volume. Students will be constructing prisms and then finding their volumes.
Writing - after working through analyzing and marking grade 6 writing exemplars provided by Alberta Education last week we have now started a new story of our own. We will continue to write this new story through the same process of writing an event, then conferencing with me and then writing the next event.
Social - we will continue to learn about the responsibilities and services provided by each level of government and will end our week by creating a little sketch or craft video sharing our understanding of the roles of each government in our daily lives.
Science - we will continue to work on our planet realtor project with presentations planned for the end of the week. Our next unit of study is Air and Aerodynamics.
Thought book - we will be working on eliminating shapes based on characteristics using the website - Which One Doesn't Belong.
