Each Monday a new math sheet goes home for homework and is due

the following Tuesday. As well, each Monday a new list of spelling words

is handed out in preparation for our weekly spelling test on Fridays. 

Math - we will be working on the Provincial Achievement Exam questions for

Patterns and Relationships. Afterwards we will be starting our chapter 3 which is

on place value. In grade six we work on place values to billions.

Science - we will be working on our final project for Trees and Forests with a unit

test planned for shortly afterwards. We will be using the book, The Lorax, to

inspire us. Our guiding question for the task is:How can we demonstrate that we

value each viewpoint while advocating for our own cause? (environmental,
economical, recreational)

Social - we will be discussing viewpoints as it relates to our science task. 

Writing - we will be writing a persuasive writing piece informing the reader

as to which leader and political party we are choosing for the federal election.
