September 9-13

After a great start to grade 6 learning we are ready for week 2!

Reminders for the week:

• Nature Explorers field trip Tuesday - please dress 

appropriately for the weather. 

• Open House - please come tour your child’s classroom 

and learn more about their learning on Sept.11 from 5-6:30 pm

Writing - we will continue to work on transferring our note taking 

into paragraphs but this week focusing on “ly” sentence openers.

Math - we will continue working on finding patterns and relationships 

using tables of values and building graphs. We will learn the vocabulary

 - cartesian plane, origin, axis.

Science - we will continue to learn about the importance of trees and

 forests along with the levels of the forest. 

Social - we will begin to learn about our rights and responsibilities and 

incorporate this learning into our school’s Bear Code.
