Reminders:

Wednesday - we have a Nature Explorers field trip in the morning.

We also have a presentation by Dr.Daniels on digital literacy starting at 8:30 am. 

School picture day is on Thursday, October 3. 

Grade 6 vaccinations are on Friday, October 4.

Friday is a full day. 

 Math - we will be working on problem solving while finding the 

missing variable. 

Writing - This week we are starting to write poetically. We are taking 

a break from informative writing to narrative writing. We will be exploring 

figures of speech while our writing is inspired by Tom Thompson’s Stormy 

Weather painting. 

 

Social - we will be continuing to work on our candidate research. 

Science - we will be working on understanding how we can use bark 

patterns, branch patterns and tree shape to help identify a tree.
