Our learning:
Science - after our learning on analyzing handwriting, we will be wrapping up our learning on evidence and investigation with a final project where students will be building a crime scene. The criteria for the crime scene will include providing physical evidence along with testimonial and circumstantial evidence as well. The class is excited to be starting this.
Social - we will be starting our final project where we will be citizens from Sparta, another city state, who have travelled to Athens to determine if the structure of government used in Athens would be one that we should use in Sparta. We will be evaluating if the structure of government was a fair and equitable type of democracy. We will be using our new knowledge and skills with coding using Makey Makeys to build an interactive poster.
Literacy - we will be continuing to analyze wordless books with a focus this week on building varying sentence structures to fit with the story line.
Numeracy - we will continue to work through our learning on fractions with a focus on ordering mixed numbers and improper fractions.
Thoughtbook - we will be working on sentence structure by working through the four main types of sentences.
Weekly math homework - we will be working through a numerical operations activity of finding equality with questions such as; 15 + ___ = 32
