Our Learning June 7-11:

Items to note:

-Friday is a half day for students

-please ensure that your child has a pair of outdoor and indoor shoes for school. We are noticing an increase in grass coming into our school and by having outdoor shoes to change into this would help to limit the concern. 

Our Learning:

Math - we will be continuing our learning on collecting and displaying data while discussing the difference between discrete and continuous data throughout our work. We will start an assignment that will involve building  questions for a survey and subsequently displaying and interpreting the data from the survey created.  

Science - we will be learning about the design of hot air balloons along with the principle by which the rising and descending of a hot air balloon are controlled.  

Writing - we will be sharing our class newspapers with our peers through a gallery walk and then begin to investigate the content in Who Would Win books which will lead us to our next writing assignment. 

Social - we will explore how our constitutional rights are protected along with why collective rights are protected.

Thought Book - we will be working through various word problems that involve reviewing our curricular strands from the year.
