Our Learning:

Math - we will be starting our new unit on transformations with a focus this week on defining translate, rotate, reflect and transformation as well as plotting points on cartesian planes to draw and describe these transformations. 

Writing - we will be starting our learning on newspaper writing with a focus on the lead sentence this week. 

Social - we will be reviewing our learning on municipal governments and then we will begin to learn about provincial government with a focus on why we need a provincial government. 

Science - we will be learning about the four forces that act on an airplane. Thrust, drag, lift and gravity. 

Thoughtbook - we will be working on an activity reviewing the adaptations that enable a bird or insect to fly. 

Weekly math homework - we will be working through word problems.
