Our learning December 13-17:
Items to note:
- We will be having a social test on Monday for our learning on ancient Athens
- We will be having a science test on Wednesday for our learning on Evidence and Investigation
- We will be having a math test on Thursday for our learning on integers
- Friday is a half day
-The school is trying to have some spirit days next week. If your child would like to participate here are the plans:
Monday - Cozy Winter Footwear - Wear your warm and cozy slippers or xmas socks!
Tuesday - Winter Wonderland - Wear blue and white... maybe even some sparkles.
Wednesday - Holiday Cheer Headwear - Wear your antlers, elf hat or Santa hat!
Thursday - Candy Cane Day - Wear red and white!
Friday - Pajama day
Our learning:
Science - we will be wrapping up our learning on Evidence and Investigation with a gallery walk for our crime scene in a box and a review time. Our unit test is scheduled for Wednesday.
Social - we will be writing our unit test on ancient Athens on Monday.
Math - we will continue to learn about integers with a focus on connecting integers to real life situations such as golf, scuba diving and thermometers. We will be writing our unit test for the chapter on Thursday.
Literacy - we will continue to work on our wordless book along with starting a reading comprehension program called, Strategies to Achieve Reading Success.
Thought book - we will be working on the same type of vocabulary activity as last week but with science words used in our Provincial Achievement exams.
Weekly math homework - we will not have a weekly math homework sheet this week due to the upcoming holidays.
