Reminder:

Friday is a half day.

We will be having our math chapter test on Operations on Thursday. 

Social - we will be starting our new social unit on Local Government. 

We will start by reviewing the different responsibilities among our three

 levels of Government in Canada and then focus on the structure and

 function of our local government.  Our unit test on the Iroquois Confederacy

 will be going home today. Please take a look at your child’s test and then 

have your child return it to school to be stored in their portfolio. 

Math - we will be writing our chapter test on Thursday. Our next unit is

 working on angles, triangles and polygons. Please make sure that your 

child has a protractor to use at school. 

Science - we will continue to learn about why certain birds can not fly. 

We will also be comparing bird wings to airplane wings. 

Writing - we will continue to work on our newest story prompt using the 

knowledge we gained from looking at Alberta Education’s grade 6 writing 

exemplars and marking criteria last week.
